I met Miss A and her mom at Starbucks one evening to discuss her ideas for her senior session. When she said she wanted a location NO other senior in Katy had been to, I knew we were in for a real treat! We took a little excursion out west and found some super cool backdrops to highlight this beautiful young lady!

I love photographing families, but I especially love photographing families that I know and love. Michelle and I met several years ago through a photography forum we were both on, while she was living in Germany. As it would turn out, her family was living here in the Houston area, and so a few years later, we finally met in person. It’s been a wonderful friendship ever since.

I absolutely love the tenderness and softness of her session with her two daughters. I respect Michelle as a collegue, but even more so as a mother. <3

I met the T family over the weekend and had such a fun time photographing them, especially their 13 month old! She had me laughing so much with all your funny little facial expressions. I’m trying to be more deliberate in capturing the stuff little ones do that I know (as a mom myself) will be fleeting, as soon as they learn their next “trick”. I have one image of my daughter making a similar face and it’s still as priceless to me as the day I snapped the photo. Parents, be sure to capture these moments before they’re gone! They grow up WAY TOO FAST!

Jason and Sara are hands down one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. When I started downloading the images off the cards, the first thing I did was text Sara and say, “Oh my gosh, the way he looks at you is amazing! He’s so IN LOVE WITH YOU!” And it’s true. He adores Sara and she adores him. Photographing the two of them was better than watching any made up chick flick on TV. Seriously. I know I probably sound like a big ol’ sap, but it was beautiful to see a man be so doting, affectionate and caring to the woman he’s asked to be his wife. <3 I wish these two many blessings in the years to come. Congratulations, Jason and Sara!

Six years ago, I photographed a beautiful wedding between two very special people. I forget how long I’ve been doing this until repeat clients come back and remind me. Time sure does fly and life is continuously changing. I’m so glad to have been a part of this sweet couple’s wedding day and am even more honored to have been called to photograph their newest addition to the family. She is precious, just like her mom and dad. <3

I don’t do a lot of wedding related photography. It’s by choice. There are such AMAZINGLY talented wedding photographers in Houston, I don’t dare to even attempt to compete with the “big dogs”. lol!! However, I will occassionally photograph small weddings for clients I’ve already worked with and I will definitely shoot bridals or “after the wedding” portraits because portraiture is my absolute LOVE. This couple actually had a destination wedding in Mexico, but since they weren’t able to get some portraits they were happy with shot during the event, they elected to have a session done at the BEAUTIFUL Las Velas venue in Houston, TX. This place is absolutely gorgeous and the shots a photographer can get in the place are seriously endless. Sigh. I’d been so busy shooting family after family during the holidays, I definitely welcomed the change (and challenge) of this shoot. And it was an absolute blast!
