I don’t do a lot of wedding related photography. It’s by choice. 
There are such AMAZINGLY talented wedding photographers in Houston, I don’t dare to even attempt to compete with the “big dogs”. lol!! However, I will occassionally photograph small weddings for clients I’ve already worked with and I will definitely shoot bridals or “after the wedding” portraits because portraiture is my absolute LOVE. This couple actually had a destination wedding in Mexico, but since they weren’t able to get some portraits they were happy with shot during the event, they elected to have a session done at the BEAUTIFUL Las Velas venue in Houston, TX. This place is absolutely gorgeous and the shots a photographer can get in the place are seriously endless. Sigh. I’d been so busy shooting family after family during the holidays, I definitely welcomed the change (and challenge) of this shoot. And it was an absolute blast!
